gear drive and tbi: Anyone done it?

Before anyone tells me, I already know you are not supposed to do this because of the knock sensor throwing the timing off, but I was wandering if anyone has done this anyway? If so, did it work? Thanks

Depending on the year of TBI, it may not have a knock sensor. My 89 454 setup doesn't have one, only the SBC that year. And yes, if you do have a knock sensor, the noisy gear drive will trigger it.

You might be able to get the computer programed to ignore it. If they can program those years.
