ramhorns
I know this has been gone over many times but I want to ditch my headers and get some ramhorns. Someone was talking about corvettes having good ones, I would like to know what year to get them from. I don't need the ones with the alt. braket. I need themto go on a '70 k-10 w/350. Thanks

If you want the 2 1/2" corvette ones, the ones that have the bracket on them are all you can get unless you find used ones. The bracket is no big deal, just cut it off and dress it up with a grinder. Here's the link.

the bracket extension is the generator mount, used til 65 when the 65-68 manifolds were made, the nose of the driver manifold was changed to allow alternator useage
pre65 ram for genrators: 69-up ram horns: 65-68 2wd car truck driver ram horn: front nose shot of same 65-68 manifold: |

Hey Rhino, I would check before I bought a pair. I had a pair on my ZZ-4 at first but had to grind on them to make them work. They hit on the valve cover.

Yes, they bolt to the Vortec heads. This is what I have on my Blazer. Part # 3797901. Works on left and right sides.

hey Blazer, that is the exact part # I have on mine too left and right. I had to grind off the bracket on the pass. side because it was just too close for comfort. Once I did that one, I went ahead and did the driver's side as well just to clean them up and then used the silver Por-20 exhaust manifold paint.

So what year corvette should I get. Or are they all the same? Do they need to be from a 350 or all small block manifolds the same?

I just ordered a left and right for a 62 vette from www.gmpartsdirect.com, $86 a piece, $203 delivered to my door. Sitting in my garage until I get the time to install and go to the muffler shop. I'll post a pic here shortly(snagged my brothers camera).

Here's a pic:
