Heater Core has High pressure leak - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

I replaced the radiator ,water pump, heater control valve and all hose's about a month ago and was waiting for this to happen .
The heater core has a high pressure leak after the truck stops .
My choices are to pull it out ( This is a AC truck) pain in the butt .
By pass the core .
Or remove the heatercontrol valve and run some Stop leak then drain the system and replace the valve .
What do you guy's think I'm leaning toward Stop leak ,and replace the core in the summer.

Personally, I would replace it now, but that's just my opionion. I'm not a big fan of stop-leak products except in an emergency. Good luck which ever way you go Bill. Oh hell, just dawned on me, you probably don't rely on your heater like some of us, hehe!

I have use the heater a couple of time only when the wife is in the truck . I never use it . I keep vacuum on the Control valve all the time so I don't get any residual hot air.
PS it about 70 right now.

You lucky dog! It's warmed up to 32 here, and there is an inch and a half of snow on top of ice that has accumulated since last night.

Make's you wonder why I have this desire to move to the country and have about 40 acre's and a big shop and barn . and have to deal with 4 season's .Must be out of my mind.
