Re: my truck

I believe he is asking about the rocker arms. They have to be gapped only if running a mechanical cam. On a hydraulic cam, I adjust mine with the engine idling. Turn them down slowly until the slack is taken out so that you can't move them side to side, then turn them 1/2 turn past that.

Not positively for sure on the mechanical cams, but I believe the clearance should be between .0020 and .0030 inch. If I am wrong, somebody will give you the correct clearance on the mechanical cams.

By the way, you have a nice looking truck. ...Joe

Re: my truck

If you tighten the rockers down too tight, you will wipe out the cam lobes. You don't want to do that, because you will be buying a new cam if you do! ...Joe

Re: my truck

Yes- what ChaseDale said -- I will add the way i do it too --- when the rocker is loose, i turn the pushrod with my fingers while i tighten the rocker nut. When it gets to where i cant turn it anymore (using average hand pressure, not Worlds Strongest Man competitor pressure) -- I tighten the nut another 1/2 turn -- does close to the same thing

good luck with it
