Pics of my new fender @ Q's about my old one
I bought a 67 driver side fender today, the thing is imacculate close to zero rust and absolutely no rust that has any pitting or anything. I paid $125 for it, do you think that was to much, when he first told me how much it was I thought it was to much but when I got there and saw it I thought it was worth it.
Oh I'm gonna be filling in the emblem holes so if anyone needs that emblem let me know. Last edited by Woz05; 10-14-2007 at 09:09 PM. |

Re: Pics of my new fender @ Q's about my old one
Alright heres my question about my old fender. I got it back from the sandblaster and they did a hell of a job. Not one bit of rust but I found three pin holes and it's still kinda pitted in some spots.
Is it OK to go over these spots with bondo or something to smooth it out since there is no more rust left? |

Couple of questions. Are you married and if so how do get by with bringing body parts in the House? lol
My wife would not be amused. Nice fender. Ron

IMO a little filler wouldnt hurt anything. Your going to need it to smooth it out. Just make sure you use as little as possible. meaning only use whats required to fill your pin holes and smooth out the pitting.
You only have the one emblem?

weld the hole up then use filler. Moisture will get in trough the filler and cause more rust if it is exposed.

jhart I only have one emblem, that is correct. My other fender already had the trim holes filled in when i got it so no emblem there.
