RARE! (I love that word) 6Cyl AC Mount & Brackets...
Wow...this is the first one of these I have had my hands on. It includes the big engine mount and the end mounting brackets for the compressor. I don't know what they are worth, never see them, but lots of requests for them.
So I will price them just a little under the BB AC and a little above the common SB. Mount with brackets--shipped--$200 Same as above, with the compressor (turns over)--$230 Last edited by PICKMUP; 10-10-2007 at 10:46 PM. |

Is there a little "smilies" for drooling?

Re: RARE! (I love that word) 6Cyl AC Mount & Brackets...
Any other parts to go with it? of course for additional cost. Interested but would hate to try to piece meal and A/C set up.
You wouldn't have been around Southern Pines about 3 years ago and finally thought it was safe to sell? lol My truck was sitting in outside storage and somebody relieved me of the A/C and P/S stuff from my 292! Try to put A/C and P/S back on my 292. I have nothing that is engine related.....brackets and pulleys. Have a compressor and P/S pump(no pulley) Pm me to let me know, thanks Steve |

Steve,
I was down there, but it was more like 30 years ago...and I was pretty busy with a lot of Army tanks, big guns, etc...Ft. Bragg I'll send you a PM, but of course this stuff is still available to anyone on the thread that says, "I will take it". You may just want to buy this and then look for the other little stuff. Re: RARE! (I love that word) 6Cyl AC Mount & Brackets...
put me next in line for the brackets, RARE doesn't even begin to describe this part. ive hunted and hunted for this sucker, even tried building a set from scratch. there just is no substitute.

Re: RARE! (I love that word) 6Cyl AC Mount & Brackets...
70rs/ss: I think it is the same for 250 & 292, but I cannot guarantee it. The 1970 Service Manual (which has more detailed info than earlier years) shows the AC mounting for seven different engine combinations...This is shown for "L6", with no distinction between 250 & 292.
Do you want it? |

Its for a 250 in-line six bolts up high on the passenger side, and you can only use points distributor with it. So if you want electronic distributor you need to use the pertronix system on your point distributor,

I will get it pending on whether it's for a 292 or 250. I need the set up a 292.
Thanks, Steve |

Re: RARE! (I love that word) 6Cyl AC Mount & Brackets...
OK, I am trying real hard to keep this straight, but the "I'm interested, IFs" are sometimes hard to separate with the "I'll take its"
As I see it, here is where we are. 1. qksilver: interested, needed info, will take it IF 292. 2. 70rs/ss: interested, IF 250, will take it. 3. beautimus: next in line, no questions. So, it goes to qksilver---right? OK? Here are pics of it bolted to a 292 and the crank pulley is the BIG cast 3-groove from a 292 (?). That's the best I can do. NOTE: Buyer beware should always be your approuch to buying parts. Know your own parts & truck. The seller will tell you everything fits and there is usually some bad info offered on these threads. Even I don't know everything about these trucks. qksilver: This is yours if there are no objections. |

Re: RARE! (I love that word) 6Cyl AC Mount & Brackets...
I thought qksilver was wanting more stuff, and I said I was interested (to me I'll take pending shipping) you said free I said OK if it is for a 250, so I'll take it, but if qksilver is in front, I'll let it play out.

Re: RARE! (I love that word) 6Cyl AC Mount & Brackets...
I knew this was getting murky. qksilver you did say interested first, but it was almost lost in all the extranious info that was included. We need to all be much clearer buying on here. If you want to buy something---say so! If you want to talk about it and then decide, you may lose it!
qksilver: PayPal info being sent PM. Thanks, Frank |
