hi everyone

i just started to work on my 47 chevy 16000 gvw and got some questions

1 how do you know what series it is

2 if i need brake shoes do part stores have them

3 are the pickup cabs the same size i read that they were

4 are there any trouble areas to watch out for

thank for any help i got a long road ahead but at least i dont need a masters in computers to fix it

Welcome to the board!

1 how do you know what series it is
A: There should be something on your serial plate located on the driver's side door between the hinges.

2 if i need brake shoes do part stores have them
A: Yes

3 are the pickup cabs the same size i read that they were
A: Yes, except the cab over trucks.

4 are there any trouble areas to watch out for
A: I'd look for rust in the rear lower corners and floor boards.
