Exhaust Through Crossmember Q?

What`s the best way to run the exhaust through the trailing arm crossmember?What size pipe do you use,4"?Can I get measurements on locating the wholes?
I have a rolling frame and would like to do this before I mount the motor and trans.While the trans get`s rebuilt.

Take a look at the FAQ on shortening my frame. You don't really need pipe to do it. My exhaust pipe is 2.5", and I cut a piece of flat plate with a hole 3" ID and 5" OD. Use the ID as a template and cut it where it fits the best.

Thanks.I like how your pipes are run over the axle and to the outside of the frame.I have some pipe,so I figured I`d use that.This is "the way" to run pipes on 2wds.I want to do this while I can still move my frame around outside before winter.Once I get the M22 rebuilt and motor/trans set it`s exhaust time.Maybe by spring I`ll be setting the cab on.

Running them over the axle then outside the frame was a necessity since I am using a Blazer tank. Your right, this is the "only way" to do it on a 2wd, as there is nothing hanging below the frame.
