Nope...that is deterioration of the poly#$($*%^&^)%...? binder between the two plates of glass. Sorry...but you will have to run it until you replace it.

Re: White "fog" around the windows

Two simple steps to getting rid of it.
1.Remove old glass
2.Install new glass

Sorry, but it can't be repaired...

Just be glad it's a Chevy truck of this era.If it were a Boat Tail Rivera or something else with parts made of Unobtainium, not only would it be expensive it might not be findable.

My gmc has this too...always has (10+ years) I figure it's just a sign that it's the original windshield...never has bothered me though.

Ha, my old truck had this, I would just rub my eyes and squint and it would go away.

Re: White "fog" around the windows

If you get a new windshield installed, you are going to think it's a whole different world out there. I didn't realize how bad my windshield was until I got a new one.

Re: White "fog" around the windows

If rust is now called Patina, and makes a truck more valuable, then what can we call the fog to make it more desireable and make people want to have it. Can we call it dreamscape edging? LOL.
