Question broken hood latch

Hi everyone, I could do with some assistance with a broken hood latch.
It started to become difficult to open the hood and on investigation I found a circular coiled spring had come off the outward facing side of the latch. Thankfully it had dropped onto a body panel and so I was able to retrieve it . I have found a rear facing diagram of the latch ( on oldchevytrucks .com Item: FP535)and have tried to refit my spring without success.. IE the latch still does not operate properly being unable to allow the hood to close shut
There are two other springs on the latch, still in place,I wondered if there was another spring that has come off and got lost ,.
Any help would be very gratefully received especially a decent picture of the facing side of the latch
Many thanks.
