Re: i appreciate thieves
They must have been disturbed in the process because I know if I were a thief, I would have broken the other window too. I'm glad all is okay and those idiots didn't get away with anything of your's.

Re: i appreciate thieves
they/he must of been spooked . you got lucky . usualy the point of going thru the vent window is to reach and just roll the window down to unlock the door .

Re: i appreciate thieves
Hopefully they stopped because they got a piece of glass in their eye and couldn't see how they could get away with anything.

Re: i appreciate thieves
Exactly what I was thinking. Why didn't they just roll the window down? Must have been spooked by something.
That would only tick me off a little less though. Jay

I had the same thing happen years ago with my 75 Jimmy. They did make off with with pioneer 6x9s but they left a nice LARGE pool of blood on the rubber mat for 'payment'. Insta-Karma is the best kind.

Re: i appreciate thieves
Glad they didnt get anthing but man just the feeling of being violated. Some group of low lifes stole my 99 Hayabusa about 2 mos. ago. From in front of the house 10 feet from the bedroom window, (that was open) and a loaded 45 in the night stand. Cops did absolutely nothing. Had it since new, now gone never to be seen again. Hate this for you brother. I hope the got a cut and get that new staph infection.

Almost makes you wonder if it was someone doing it to just piss you off??? Jealous neighbor? Seriously, why break the side window and not take anything?
Glad she wasn't taken!!!

Re: i appreciate thieves
While back I was awakened from sleep by some slight noise outside.I looked out and saw a crew breaking into my neighbors car.In my semi sleep-walking state I grabbed the 20 Ga I had and squeezed off a round of bird shot into the tree above where they were.Boy did that wake me up fast!!! Put away the shotgun.Looked out again and guess what,no more crew. When the neighbor got back in town he commented how weird it was that they broke his window but left his cell phone just sitting there. The other neighbor,a cute little blond, was pissed, said "what if there was a bird sleeping in that tree!?"
(This is in a dense residential neighborhood of L.A.)

Re: i appreciate thieves
Man that sucks! I have my old vent window that is yours if you want it so you are just out time. I went with one piece windows so if you need the glass, let me know and I will box it up and send it on it's way.

Hate so say it but Dallas, San Ant, and other bigger tx cities are bad on thieving. Laredo is even much worse, they break into shops and clean everything out. This is why I like simple smaller towns.

Re: i appreciate thieves
I would have like to have seen you catch 'em, broken their arm in the vent frame, and rubbed the broken glass in their face just for effect. Sorry, I am venting and do not care for theives or intruders. I still feel the same though even after venting.

Re: i appreciate thieves
Then they would have some left wing lawyer represent them and the owner would get sued, feel sorry for the damn thieves, owner would loose the truck and house, Kind of like that guy who detained illegals on his land in arizona, and lost his ranch for it, whats our country coming to????
