Re: If you could built/buy the ultimate truck, what would it be?
[QUOTE=Longhorn Man;2411763].0Call me crazy... but a long wheel base beater, semi flat black, rallys, heated springs for attitude, bench seat with a seat cover, inline... 250 probably, 3 on the column... maybe a glass pack to supress the noise a little. Cracked windshield, probably some rust holes.... something i could drive and not worry about it gettin stollen.
Longhorn man: I have your dream truck. Except for the ralleys, and its semi flat black Meaning it's semi painted! 4" rear drop springs haven't gotten the fronts yet. And no one's gonna steal this heap. .

Re: If you could built/buy the ultimate truck, what would it be?
Without writing a whole book, mine would basically be quite similar to Copperhead with a few changes. The highlights would be mainly lowering it more, swapping the bed for a stepper, painting it Pontiac Orbit Orange, and doing away with NOS (it's useless on a 572). And not that you asked, but my Dream Car is a stock '70 Goat.

Basically.... this truck
I've been in love with it ever since I first saw it. Color, stance, interior... Only thing different......maybe make it a 4x4?

Re: If you could built/buy the ultimate truck, what would it be?
I'm building my dream truck, I guess. I have always dreamed of having a '67 C-30 dually pickup with a turbo diesel engine that would pull anything I wanted to pull, and have that rugged diesel rattle in harmony that aggressive turbo whine I love so much. That's the biggest reason I'm staying with a manual tranny. I wanna hear it wheeze every time I shift!
I've also always wanted a nice, near stock SWB Custom, CST, or Cheyenne (any of them the body side trim) that I could use as my daily driver when I'm not in my work truck. I'm self employed, and I'm in and out my company truck sometimes 10 - 12 hours a day, 6 days a week. When I'm not working though, I am usually always in my '69 C/10. So I guess I'm pretty content at the moment. When I get both of my trucks completed, I do hope to build myself a '67 SWB Hot rod truck of some sort. I'm not sure what direction I want to go with exactly. I love the flat black rods and shop trucks, and I like the street/strip look. The only things I know for sure is I want it low, and I want it black with natural finish Torq Thrusts!!

Too many choices
I really like Joe's 4x4 here: but make it an "extended cab" + a 383cid/th350/NP205/Gear Vendors

Re: If you could built/buy the ultimate truck, what would it be?
Mine would be a '72 Custom Deluxe short fleet, light orange and white, black interior, 400BB - Th400, houndstooth buckets, console, tilt, tach, and a set of aluminum slots. Would look very similar to this:

Re: If you could built/buy the ultimate truck, what would it be?
What I have now ..... an honest driver that I have fun with and no stress. Bling, bling for me is up keep and that IMHO is not what I want to be doing instead of enjoying driving my truck. Now that's just me and I realize some are addicted to wax, washing and detailing the treads of there tires (this used to be me) but I've given this up. Funny thing is I get as many complimates when I'm out in my 70' as I do when I'm out and about in my shiny 50' and the work on my 70' doesn't even begin to compare to the 50.'
esll.
