Can air bags get up to stock ride height?

I want to level out the truck but also want to be able to carry some weight on occasion without dragging the rear.

If I put bags on, is it going to drop the rear no matter what over stock? Or will I have enough adjustability to get back up to stock height?

If not, how close will it get to stock? I couldn't seem to find it in a search...

I guess it depends on the bags.

I've talked to tech support at ECE and they are great.

I've also been to ART and have nothing but good things to say about them. Their phone/email tech support is great also.

I'm sure either one could steer you in the right direction.

you get the right bags, you can go OVER stock height.
however, height isn't needed with bags.
You have your truck set to run on bags, at a 5 inch drop. You load it up, and it starts to droop, you can have it set up to where the leveling valve automaticly inflates the rear bgs, back to your 5 inch drop preset height... or if you don't have a leveling valve, you just air it up till you are back at said predetermined height.

The standard dbl convoluted bag size recommended for 1/2 ton 6X~72's would lower the truck. But, the great thing about bags is you can custom tailor the bracketry to your specific application.

So . . ..... for your truck, you can make an adapter that goes between the frame & bag that allows you to get the exact ride height you want @ say 60~70% of the bags recommended pressure. Then, when you need to load it up, add the additional air pressure to level it back out.

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.

I already bought the 2500 lb bags. But it's looking like the 2600 lb bags go an inch higher. I'll have to measure the compressed height of the spring and see.

2600's will get to height at a way lower pressure.
