neutral safety switch?

OK, got the neutral safety switch on the column, hooked up and in neutral it will start. BUT, when I move it to park it won't turn over. What am I doing wrong. I can adjust the switch to the left or right but don't know what which way to go or why? I need some advice on how to set this switch. Many thanks in advance.

I would try adjusting it to start in park and hope that neutral works. It is possible that you have abad switch.

I set mine right with the help of a friend. When the switch is in the right place the backup lights should turn on when the trans is in reverse. Keep adjusting the switch until you get that part right and your ignition contacts should fall right into place in park.

You can wish in one hand and crap in the other.
See which one gets filled first.
