RPO help
Today when I was making an appointment for my oil change on my car, I was talking to the owner about the truck I am building and the one I have to bring in to get certified. He mentioned he has an 85 pickup sitting in his yard. I went to have a look at grabbed the RPO list while I was at it.
I was not able to decode all the list so far. I also have the vin number. VIN 2GCDC14H5F1226952 Model Year 1985 Canada Division (unknown code) Chassis 2 Wheel Drive Body Style Pickup Series 1/2-Ton GVWR Range 5001-6000 Engine V8 305 Assembly Plant Flint, MI Sequential Number 226952 RPO codes 66L 76C A28 Sliding Rear Window A52 CD4 Intermittent Windshield Wiper System D45 Stainless Steel Below Eyeline Mirrors E63 Fleetside Pickup Box F51 Heavy Duty Shock Absorbers F59 F60 Heavy Duty Front Springs (Came With HD Front & Rear Shocks Recommended For Snow Plow Use On 1/2 Ton Trucks) G50 Rear Heavy Duty Springs J50 K05 600 Watt Engine Block Heater LE9 5.0 Liter V 8 MX0 TH 700 Transmission N33 Comfortilt Steering Wheel N41 NL2 Auxiliary Fuel Tank (pick ups) U35 Quartz Electric Clock UA1 Heavy Duty Battery V43 Painted Rear Step Bumper XCE YCE Z31 Z49 ZCE ZD8 ZY4 I asked him how much he wants and he has no idea. The box is in pretty good shape and wouldn't require all that much work to get it in great shape. The cab needs rockers and corners for sure. It also has a sunroof, possibly after market. It would be great for parts if the price is right, but I could also use that vin for the truck I am building. Can anyone help complete the RPO list I started???

Re: RPO help
That's great, thanks. I noticed that this truck also had a bed mounted spare. I had one on my 69 but it left when I got rid of the truck. I much prefer the bed mounted spare so you don't have to climb under it to get your spare.
I'm going to see what he wants for it and might be able to get enough parts off it for my project truck to make it worth it.

Re: RPO help
My RPO list is in the glove box. Truck is an '87.
The GM service manual has a decoder list that has all of the codes for the year of truck. |
