Can I lower my C20?

Just got a 1971 C20 and I don't see any lowering kits for the C20 at Summit.com. Is it possible to lower my C20 using bolt on parts?

Thanks

Re: Can I lower my C20?

well, How low do ya wanna go? and how much coin are you gonna throw down?..For a static drop ----> Earlyclassic.com
(spindles, springs) They actually make a 2.5 inch drop spindle to convert a c20 to a c10, and of course the lowering springs are the same in both trucks (dont quote me)

For air... airridetechnologies.com..a pair of strong arms (control arms) with bags will run you in the neighborhood of $800-$900..But its worth it if you ask me..Once you bag your truck, you can always keep altering things to your liking to get it layed out..(Z the frame,Dropmember or Notch the crossmember)

Hope this opened some doors for you.

You might consider using the drop springs. Cheap, easy install and readily available. And WELCOME from TN.

Re: Can I lower my C20?

Thanks Guys.

I was thinking of a 2/3 or 2/4 drop, and I didn't want to spend too much. Looks like I got the wrong model for that. This is gonna be a weekend warrior truck, basically for hauling dirtbikes, chores, etc. I was hoping to get it a bit lower so that it was easier to get the bikes in (and face it, make it look a bit cooler), but no biggie if I can't.

I've seen the conversions and pondered that, but other than 5 lugs and the ability to lower the truck I don't know what else laying out that much cash will get me. It already has the front discs and I kinda like the wheels that are on there.

It looks like the drop springs will be the way to go.

Thanks!

2/4" I know it's on a c-10 but you'll get the truck level also. There's lots of good info om this site. Ask any questions you have, chances are someone else faced that same problem before.
