core support identification

I did some searching and found that there is a difference between the 67-68 and 69-72 core support. What is an easy way to tell the 2 styles apart?

I have a 72 core support and it has some "hedlight buckets" that are attached to the core support. I have another one (unidentified year) that just has holes in it for the headlights. Is this a 67-68?

Re: core support identification

I'm going through the same thing. I think I have a 69 core support with a 67 hood and fenders and grill. The headlights and buckets don't fit right

Re: core support identification

The 69-72 have an extra raised area around the headlight buckets the 67-68 don't have. The pic below I borowed, it's a 69-72. The bottom pic is a 67-68.
