Canadian Built Trucks
I am curious as to how many Canadian built truck owners there are on here. I bought a bunch of parts saturday and included is a 69 Canadian built GMC Cab and grill. I haven't decided what to do with it yet but if I decide to sell I will post it on the parts board.

Re: Canadian Built Trucks
Look close a the grill in the pic, it say's GMC in the center like a 67 but has a top bar like the 69-72. Best I can tell it is original and not something fabricated.

Re: Canadian Built Trucks
Ok,that`s what I noticed. So,it looks original, huh? You didn`t get the hood?It must have had the steep 69-72 hood.I think it must have been switched at some point over the last 30+ years.I don`t imagine the next hood design was used a few years earlier in Canada.I`ll bet there was an accident that required at least a new hood and a later truck provided the parts. The grilles are interchangeable.Just the surrounds changed from none in`67,to narrow (like Chevy) in`68,then the wider set 69-72.But`a`72 grille can be run with no trim using 67/68 hood.

Re: Canadian Built Trucks
I don't think the hood is the original, it has holes for the GMC in the front but it is the later flat face. I will try tomorrow to get some better pics of it and the back side, maybe that will help. I'm hoping some of our Canadian members will help out here.
