Re: bear claw latches
I did but never kept a log or pictures plus my doors are suicided.
But here's a well documented how-to that was done by a member here (Houston54) on his truck: http://www.picturetrail.com/gallery/...64&uid=2902753 |

Re: bear claw latches
the stock latches are worth being replaced, i can remember my cousin flying out the passenger door of the 52' chevy the neighbor had and it only had 12,000 miles on it. check out these sites: oldgmc.com and stovebolt.com because i have seen some pic's of some bear claw latches installed. as many are used it must be fairly easy to do, i don't remember anything in the write up saying different.

Re: bear claw latches
two that I know of have done it with good results. Houston54 and I can't remeber the other. Both were different methods of bear claw installs and not overly complicated.

Re: bear claw latches
You can search through my build thread for pics. I had my body guy do it for me. I had my door pop open numerous times while I drove my '54 around stock. IMO, the bearclawlatches are worth every penny!
