Looking good, rust is not that bad atleast. I hope to have "Trazer" ready after this weekend for the blaster. I always liked blazers in the nude! Keep the pics comming. So what are your plans for this build, Pro touring? What power train and suspention?

Right side is 95% done. Have a panel alignment issue with the rocker and quarter that needs to be fixed still. Rocker hung with door in place. Left side work has begun. Had to repair the front cab support and patch the floor. Progress is slow but at least the project is moving foward. Fitment of the patch panels have been okay, only thing to fit perfect is the cab floor support and you won't see it when done. Go figure.

Me too, I am having to pay to this part done. I could probably do it, I can usually conquer anything I attept as long as I have the correct tools for the job. My problem is I don't have a mig or tig right now. Once the sheetmetal repairs are made, it will be back in my shop where I will finish all the body prep and paint work.

Last update before I bring it home. Left side close to done with outer rocker rough fitted and wheel well opening repaired. I should be bringing it home this weekend or first of next week.

Repairs to the Blazer tub is done, forgot to take the camera with me. They are going to touch up some blasting they missed before Wednesday and then I will be picking it up either Thursday or Friday. A little more expensive than planned, but I know where the extra time went. Will be posting pics when I pick it up later this week.

Here are the pics. I have not brought it home due to some metal blasting that needs touched up. I will pick it up after SEMA. I had to go over today and drop off my buddies '71 Firebird for quarter repairs. Next step, get it home and get the tub back on the chassis to fit the front sheetmetal.

nice job good looking welds also I spend all day welding 1/4in and thicker steel and freak out when I get to 18ga sheet LOL

what type of media was used to blast your tub? and did you have any issues with heat distortion or warping?

Cabinet grade glass beads. No warpage found. The metal in these trucks are thick compared to lot of other vehicles.

A guy in El Reno that promised he would never do another Blazer period, for any amount of money. Mainly does musclecars. Just took him a '71 Firebird for quarters, and taking him a 57 Bel-air next week for blasting. He does not advertise to the public and stays backlogged. Not cheap but worth every penny for him to do it right the first time.
