Unhappy Help!

I just finished re-installing the tranny after replacing my broken flexplate. Truck has been non-running for about 1.5-2months. Just started it up, and it wont idle, shakes badly, dosent want to rev up. I didnt touch anything on the engine the whole time. What happened? I dont even have a clue where to start looking, cause everything is still setup like before.

After sitting for that long, I would replace the fuel filter. Use some good carb cleaner to loosen up the carb linkages. Is your choke setup and working properly? Is the choke completely closed when you first try to turn it on?

I thought it might be the choke. So I went out and made sure it was wired full closed [manual choke] It blew black smoke like this [too rich, but why so bad?] I wired the choke full open and it didnt blow any smoke after that. The plugs look normal almost too lean.

Crushed wiring is a possability. Ill give it a good check over tomorrow.

It does not backfire when I try and rev it. It will hesitant for a split second. Ill also check timing tomorrow. Thanks for the ideas guys.
