Check out my new garage floor!

It's not perfect but it's a 100% different than what it was!

Re: Check out my new garage floor!

I still need to go through the rest of the crap I chunked on the shelves and extended portion of the garage and organize it all. After that I'll be painting the walls bright white to reflect as much light from the new flourescents I put in.

Looks great. Have you dropped anything small yet?
Just wondering if the specks make it hard to find small objects like tiny 'o-rings'.

Re: Check out my new garage floor!

Thanks everybody, I'm really pleased with the outcome of it. The hardest part of the job was the prep work. Gotta make sure it's really clean before you apply. The application was easy and straight forward. The product's name is Rustoleum Epoxy Shield. I got it at Home Depot for around 65 bucks a kit. One kit will do a single car garage so I had to buy 2. I have to wait until Thursday to park the 68 on it to make sure it's fully cured. I'm not to sure how hard it'll be to find small items on it but I've always been able to spot little things I've dropped pretty easily. I wouldn't mind doing anyones garage but the labor charge and paid mileage would hurt to pay, lol.

Re: Check out my new garage floor!

I did mine with the same stuff -- you are right -- prep work was a bear- and my garage was new!

Time now for a sweet cabinet system, a generously sized plasma tv and a disco ba ll thrown in for good measure

Re: Check out my new garage floor!

There was another product that looks similar, but I can remember what it was called. It cost a little bit more. I saw it on shade tree mechanic some time ago.

Re: Check out my new garage floor!

I just found a link about using epoxy on garage floors. If anyone, like me are thinking about doing it. I will have to do some more research......
