Intro I guess?

I have been lurking around and made a few posts... I havent done an into so I figured I better. ANYWHO my name is Cole, I live in SC. I am 22 and I am head mechanic at Bilton Chevrolet. I have a 96 z71 with 9in of lift on 38s, with a new vortec, built up 4l60e, 4:56s, locker, with 38in Supper Swamper TSR radials. ....I have a totalled 96 Tahoe LT that I rolled a few years back.. Makes a good show at local mud runs...lol I just bought a 82 SWB last weekend for $200 that is a basket case if there ever was one.. No bed, just a block between the fenders, no trans.. I set myself a goal of 3 weeks to get the truck running, driving, stoping and together.... I will gather parts durring the week and thrash on the weekends. I will start a build thread saturday when I start on it.. Monday I got power doors off and clean front clip off a 87 suburban, guy owed me money, I called it even for the parts. There is nothing wrong with my front clip, just a little surface rust and a little rot on the lower right fender from the battery. But this one is perfect. Today I picked up a complete 76 SWB that has a decent bed, despite a couple of bullit holes lol. 6cyl 3spd truck. Acutally would not be a bad truck to fix. Needs floors. Everything else is solid.. The 6cyl suposidly has a cracked head. I am going to use the bed off of it for now. I would like to find a solid bed around me with one gas door. If I do that I may end up building this one later. Paid $150 for it and it has new tires. Sold the converter off of the 82 for 80 bux. So I have $270 in the whole project so far... I am using the drivetrain out of a 76 elcamino project that I have long since abandoned... Hope to have the motor in this weekend. I plan on getting the truck together, primmed and bomb around as a DD for a while, then blast completly apart for paint and body work.. These damn truck are very expensive around here so I figured I'd start with the stuff nobody else wanted lol

Re: Intro I guess?

Yes it was.. I spun a bearing last year at that mud run... SO It needs a crank kit.. But if I get a chance to fix it I will.. Its full leather, 4wd.. People get a kit when I hit a HUGE hole at about 50mph and cover myself and the interior with mud lol.
before

after...lol
