65 C10 Family Project - Next generation of motor heads?
Hey Guys, new to the board. Thought i show what our family is working on. It started out a way to teach the next gen what and how a truck works. In the simple days! No computers or electronics!!!
So far not to bad, but with homework and sports, Dad is doing most of the work, Oh well! Engine is 350sbc w/700r4, haven't got her running yet. I hope the picture come out! NORCAL Mark |

& from Virginia. Really straight truck you've got to start with there. Even got the black plates. Nice 40 Ford in the background, probably dad's, huh?

Re: 65 C10 Family Project - Next generation of motor heads?
thats a very nice project yall got there. my dad got me into it i just dident realize it till i saw a old rusty 1962 chevy a few years back for $1000. lol now im hopelessly addicted. only thing though, when i think of my dad when i was little, all i remember as of me working on it is him saying from under the truck "all right, pump the brake pedal till it gets stiff and then hold it down and dont let off till i tell ya". lol

Re: 65 C10 Family Project - Next generation of motor heads?
Welcome from Cookson OK. I bought a 1966 c-10 stepside for me and my adopted grandson to work on when he was just three years old. Since then we pulled out the old six, and rebuilt a 350 sbc with roller cam and lots of other goodies, we have installed a 700R4, completly went through the brakes, added a power booster, and recently added power steering, and a 2006 40-20-40 seat with intergrated seat belts. We also completly rebuilt the doors with all new rubber and felt along with new regulators. We put on new exhaust, and redone the insturment panel with white letters and LED lights. We put in a good sound system with mp3 aux, and memory card capibility. We also put in a new heater core, motor and fan. About the only thing me and him have left to do is the body work, but I think I will wait till he is 6 for that
