question on a np 241 swap
I need some help on a swap I would like to do on my 86 K-10. It has the np 208 (of course), but the trans in the truck is on it's last leg and I have a 90 suburban for parts with a good trans and a nearly new np 241 that i would like to swap in. My biggest problem is that the suburban has the electric speedo and my truck of course has the cable driven speedo. If you guys have any suggestions I would really appreciate it.
Thanks, Jamie |

Re: question on a np 241 swap
There is only 1 year that had the mechanical speedo for the 241----1989. Both in the K-5 and the suburban. If you can find those parts they will interchange with the 241 you have unless you find a complete t-case

I think www.abbott-tach.com might have what you need. They make what is needed for speedos when installing electronic trannies.
