Hatch glass?

Well, I am off to look at a white double wall tomorrow that is for sale. Supposedly it is in great shape other than the hatch glass is broken out. The hatch itself is unharmed. Does someone sell a replacement glass? Should I post something in the classifieds for a used one? Has anyone had a glass shop make one? Any ideas? Thanks.

Re: Hatch glass?

Finding hatch glass shouldn't be to tough IMO but I'd still contact the local glass shop just in case.

Re: Hatch glass?

Well, good news and bad news. Got the top and it is in GREAT shape, but when me and JTRUX got there, the seller decided he didn't want to sell the hatch (even though the glass was broke). Oh well, he came down on the price because of the mixup. We probably looked pretty funny going down the road like we did, good thing it was only about 30 miles away. Now I guess I am in the market for a good hatch. See link below...

Re: Hatch glass?

I've traveled alot farther than you had to loaded like that.

Too bad the buyer wouldn't do the hatch though.

Tell me about it! To make things worse, other than the broken glass it was PERFECT! JTRUX or myself had NEVER seen one that nice. He mentioned he had another one that wasn't in quite as good of shape that he might let go of. I am going to contact him later in the week about it.

Re: Hatch glass?

Hey dude I'm glad you got the top. Jtrux better not be trying to take the credit for it. Ha Ha. Too bad about the hatch, I might know where on is. I'll have to find out though. Hey i can't remember if you told me that you rebuilt your th350 on your own. If you did, I might hit you up for some help if mine is in need of a rebuild. Later, Mario.

Thanks for locating that one, I NEVER would have found it hidden down there. Yeah, let me know if you find a decent hatch also. I figure I will start reading up on fiberglass 101 cause I'm sure I will eventually need it.

I did rebuild my TH350 in my garage a couple of months ago. Let me know if you have problems with yours, I can help with the rebuild.

Yeah I have seen them. What is the quality and fit like on them. I can't imagine paying that much and having to "adjust" them like you have to on a repop fender from China or something.
