Turning Radius
I've had a 1975 Long Wheelbase Chevy One ton Dually for 8 years and I'm finally getting tired of the big turning radius that it has. Nothing broke and it's not hitting the stops. The box just just runs out of travel. Any body know of a kit made to help this? Maybe a longer pitman arm or a different box or something.
Thanks Rick |

Re: Turning Radius
The turning angle on long bed trucks is barely adequate and I imagine it's a nightmare on crew cab trucks.
I've driven newer extended cab short bed trucks which have a longer wheelbase but are more maneuverable. Kinda sad. |

Re: Turning Radius
Has nothing to do with the steering setup and more to do with the fact that it takes up A LOT of ground space. My Crew Cab is an adventure when turning..

Re: Turning Radius
Is the track width of these trucks less or more than the GMT400, 800, or 900 trucks ?
Wouldn't more wheel cut at least help a little bit ? |

Re: Turning Radius
Pyro-
Of course more wheel cut will help. Even a few degrees would do. We have a long wheelbase KW that we pull our racecar hauler with and it turns shorter than this thing. There has gotta be somebody that has already fixed it out there. Rick |
