3" Coil drop
I am installing 3" coils, will I need drop shocks or am I fine? Also after I do this, will I need to get an alignment? I will be unbolting the shocks from the LCA. The LCA will also be unbolted for it to drop and gain acess to the spring. If I am missing some steps please tell me.

Re: 3" Coil drop
You could get away without replacing the shocks, but you may have a crappy ride in return. Also do not be surprised if they only last a few thousand miles before they puke oil or release gas. You can get drop shocks for 35 dollars each from summitracing.com . Trust me, its worth it.
A tip with taking out springs, you should just have to unbolt the LCA at the spindle. Make sure to have the spring chained up so it doesn't go flying.

Re: 3" Coil drop
You need shocks with a spring drop AND an alignment.

Re: 3" Coil drop
Agreed. I had to do both with mine. Ran stock shocks for awhile after doing the springs and it bottomed out the stock shocks and was a really bad ride. Alignment is mandatory to prevent tire wear because you are changing the angles of the control arms.
