Re: auto locking hubs
If you buy manual hubs it`s a remove old and install new operation.Auto hubs were prone to failure(if they got used).Warn made auto-locking hubs years ago.But,they could be locked-in manually.They recommended locking them in for compression braking and loads.They should have said for off road use also.I tore those up.I locked the new ones in for everything but a quick use of 4wd,lke backing out a stone drive or a slick spot in the road.Nothing beats the ol' "get out and lock`em" routine.
