GMC Guys Help!!!!!!!!!!

Ok, here goes. I've had two different opinions and want a definite answer from the knowledgeable people here. Is there a difference in the radiator supports for a 67-68 GMC compared to a 72? The reason I ask is I have a 72 and wanting to put a 67 hood on it and a 67 grille. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: GMC Guys Help!!!!!!!!!!

Yep they are the same form 67-72 and gmc's used 68 fenders all the way through 72 so its a simple swap. Im doing the same to my panel, I bought a great 67 grill but am having trouble finding the part that bolts to the top of the girll that holds the hood bumpers and the latch bolts to.

Re: GMC Guys Help!!!!!!!!!!

Wouldn't the top bar of the grille be the same for a Chevy?
Also 1 difference in the older Rad supports is it has bolt and holes for the bottom gravel guard.
I am changing my 70 Gmc to a 68, Need a Hood.

They are virtually the same. The gravel guard holes can be drilled. The person that saidthey were different was going by Chevy information. The grilles are even interchangeable.

Ben IV, Uncle has a complete grille with top bar and bottom gravel pan for a GMC. thanks for the info, I was hoping I wouldn't have to find another radiator support.

My 70 GMC has a 68 core support in it. Everything fits as it should.

Re: GMC Guys Help!!!!!!!!!!

The person telling you otherwise must be confuing this with Chevy info.

Re: GMC Guys Help!!!!!!!!!!

I think thats what it is, He is a guy that I have trusted in the past, but he also a parts dealer. I've spent a little money with him and I think he was just wanting a little more. Hopefully an honest mistake on his part. Also, it wasn't a vendor on here that I know of, at least I don't think he is. Wish me luck I'm on my way to take the GRE to try and move from a teacher to principal.
