Re: disc brake conversion kit
Easiest way would be swapping out the closed knucke axle for a 71 and up disc brake axle.Any 71 + GM front axle will work, but with the Corp. 10 bolt front end,you will need the u bolts and spring plates from it. There is a drum to disc conversion for closed knucke axles but is way more expensive than a average GM solid axle w/ disc brakes.

Re: disc brake conversion kit
I like the idea of swapping out the complete axle, but I figured the cost of having to put new gears in might cost more than the disc conversion. I'm running 4.56 gears and its a 3/4 ton.

Re: disc brake conversion kit
It will almost be the same price you can get a new axle for 200 and use the gears from your old axle then figyre 200 to 300 to have them put in. or spend 600 for the disk kit. one other thing its a lot easier to add power steering to the new axles then the closed knuckle axle.
here is a link to the kit. they are a vender here too. http://www.blackbirdscustomtrucks.co....html#balldisc
