steel lughole insert. Are they still made?
I just bought a set of used aluminum rims for my daily driver and once i got them home i noticed some of the lug hole looked extremely big so i got to looking at them and the lug holes are machined very large and have a press in steel insert in the hole that is tapered on the front for a acorn lugnut. I popped one out and started going to tire shops to see if they could order me some and they all said either they had never seen them or they hadn't seen them in years. I've looked all over and i can't seem to find them anywhere so now i'm stuck with a $200 set of rims that are junk. Does anyone know where i can get some of these inserts?
