Auto Options

Hey Guys,
Well I recently found out my 63’ has a 75’ 250ci under the hood instead of the 230ci I thought it had. Does that change my options for automatic transmissions? I don’t one that is so new it requires a computer on something like that. What trans would be a good and easy fit? My truck is a daily driver, and I’m just looking for upgrade ideas.
Thanks, Tim

Re: Auto Options

The only difference between the 230 & 250 is stroke, and the later 250 had the funky integrated heads that were very prone to cracking. So what ever your plans were before, it will not change anything. The easiest tranny would be the th350 or th400. Either one would bolt right up. A 700R4 would bolt right up as well, but then you have the tv cable to deal with, and that really is not a big deal.
