Chevy C-70 with "401" V-Eight on E-Bay.
Someone obviously doesnt know that GM put V-6's in these trucks. From the size if the fuel tank in the pictures, it must be a really small town. Looks like a solid truck, if I were closer and had $$$$.

Can you say PARADE Looks like a well preserved specimen. If it weren't a fire truck it would make a cool hauler for a show truck or a really classy toter home.

Re: Chevy C-70 with "401" V-Eight on E-Bay.
It is a 401 V8. They made V8's in the same design as the V6's. Several sizes, up into the 600+ CI range if I remember correctly.
Edit- or at least I thought so. Can't find the site that showed them all. Inserting foot in mouth now. Edit again- they did make one V8- a 637.

Looks like only 3 plug wires on the drivers side and the exhaust manifold looks V-6. I'd like to know more about the V-8 you're talking about. Shane, you're right, he needs more pics.

Found it. Look on page 2. Maybe someone here can figure out how to post the pic.

401 V-6 would be the engine for that truck. There was a 637 V-8 from the GMC V-6 family, but it was only in 9500 series trucks. BTW- that is an H-70.

That is a 401 Magnum V-6. It has the larger free-flow intake, big valve magnum heads and "I-beam" shaped hi-flo magnum exhaust manifolds. It delivers 237 horsepower @ 4000 rpm but churns out 372 ft. lbs. of torque at only 1600 rpm.,(just past fast idle)...

Man, I'd love that truck. I don't know what I'd do with it! But it would be a cool truck to have...
