TOTM-November 2007-Going to Grandma's!
This month our Truck of the Month (TOTM) theme will be what many of us will be doing in a week or so.
Going To Grandma's! And there is no better way than to pack everyone up in the big GM family mover and go. So this month our theme will focus on those rides that can move the family to and from granny's. • Open to all years of Suburbans, Tahoes, and Yukons. • It must be together and be licensed for street use. • If a truck has won a TOTM already in 2006 or 2007, you are ineligible. If you were nominated but were not selected as a TOTM winner then you may be nominated and compete in this month's category. To Nominate: You or someone else may nominate your truck. Just add the nomination to this thread. We will need a picture or two of the nominee vehicle, the owner’s board name, any of the basics specs of the truck (year, engine/drive train specs) you or your nominee wish to provide. Nominees will through Thanksgiving Day, November 22. If additional information is needed, then I will PM the first 15 nominees to get any additional data or pictures if they haven’t already been provided. You can PM me for an e-mail address in case anyone has problems resizing them for the board. We will then put together a Poll Thread and announce it here on the General Discussion Board for the voting. The Poll will start to run on November 23 and will run till the morning of November 30. The official announcement of the winner will be on the afternoon of November 30. The announcement of this month’s TOTM will be posted through the General Discussion Board area. So get in those turkey mover nominations so we can all see how we go in style to Grandma's.

Re: TOTM-November 2007-Going to Grandma's!
ironically enough my wife and i just bought an '08 suburban last weekend. prolly too stock and too 'out of character' to be a valid entry - - but nonetheless just for craps and giggles here's our new 'toy'.
it's a 2008 suburban Z71 4x4 in 'blue granite' with a 2-tone ebony/light-titanium interior....has the sun/sound/entertainment ( = moonroof/nav/rear dvd) package, the power heated flip/fold 2nd row captains chairs, and power rear liftgate package. all kinds of doo-dads and electrical doohickeys that i haven't figured out how to work yet....

I'd like to nominate DWC's '66. I love it's perfect "hot rod" anti-bling stance!

Didn't he trade the burb for that 65 Impala?

Re: TOTM-November 2007-Going to Grandma's!
Thanks sick69 and crzngmychvy I'll post some pics and specs.
I was going to nominate that one myself! It is gorgeous. Not sure if he stops by here anymore. I looked through the 47-59 board for a 55-59 burb (my favorite years) to nominate but didn't find any roadworthy candidates Then I remembered cheyenne10's ultra clean 100pt resto 72. This will get you to gramma's in style: Last edited by Frizzle Fry; 11-18-2007 at 04:19 PM. |

Even though I will possibly come in dead last place... I'll get her all dolled up tomorow and get some photos up. I'm wondering if I'll even vote for my own rig or not. DWC's '66 is the shiznit! Jodie still logs on almost evey day. Her burb is blown apart in eleventy billion pieces right now at the body shop that her son works in. I don't know if she has been made aware of the nomination... but I'llmake sure she knows. |

Re: TOTM-November 2007-Going to Grandma's!
Even with all these sweet choices and `Burbs I`d like to own,Mike409 gets my vote w/o question.Alot of great work done with his wife`s help. With the family theme as well as the vehicle type,is there a question? He did what we all could dream off.No sooner did he build a sweet bad a$$ one of a kind ride,he loads up his family and hauls hiney 1,100 miles to Cruisin`The Coast and back w/o a hitch. That`s a classic truck family oriented dream come true.
Happy Thanksgiving.
