Re: Saw this at Home Depot

interesting that it has a 71/72 grill with no top bar or eyebrow trim, like a 67/68 would have.
I agree, it looks bent, high in the middle.
Still a neat truck

Re: Saw this at Home Depot

i dont thgink its bent, i think its an illusion, i think the angle of the ramp and bars make it look so.

try to focus only on the bottom of the truck, look at the cab, and imagine where the frame would be, then look at the bottom of the ramp body.

i think it DID haul racecars. now haulin' cattle

Re: Saw this at Home Depot

definately a race car hauler. probably good for round track. You could stand over the cab and see the race over top of everyone from the inside pit in the middle of track.?? Pretty neat old truck . first one i've seen like it.

I'm in Maui this week and I saw a 67 tow truck hooking a car up today. I wish I could have taken a picture of it.

It may be a 72, the rearview mirror is attatched to the windshield.

Re: Saw this at Home Depot

Unless my eyes are deceiving me, I see a little light coming through what looks to be the '67 small rear window in the 2nd pic.

Re: Saw this at Home Depot

Another clue that makes me think it is a '67 is that it has either aftermarket or dealer installed cab lights. 69 - 72 would have the raised bosses and the round cab lights.
