Auto trans crossmember removal?
I was looking at the turbo 400 atuo trans crossmember I'm getting ready to remove, after removing the 4 bolts how do you get the sucker out from between the frame? Am I missing something here? Thanks for any help.

Use a sledge hammer, tap one end torwards the motor, then the other end torwards the rearend, thats the way I've taken all of mine.

The last time I had mine out I torched off the upper "wings" of the crossmember to aid in its re-installation/future removal. I always thought 8 bolts was a little overkill.
