Leaking heater core
Anyone know how to get to the heater core in a 72? I looked in the FAQ's and found a how to but the pics weren't there. My windshield is fogging up and I have steam coming out of the vents so I'm assuming it's a leaking heater core. I've taken all the plumbing apart behind the glove box but I just don't see how I can get in there to find the leak. Will I need to go in from the outside? Anyone have any pics? Thanks.

Re: Leaking heater core
About all I can tell is the non A/C trucks come out from engine side and A/C trucks come out from inside.

Re: Leaking heater core
Thanks John. It's an ac truck and I can't find any info on removing it. Plenty of non-ac guides though.

LINK Check out post #23 I just put a new core in my '71 Blazer and somehow was able to put a bunch of extensions on my socket wrench to get to the lower nut so I didn't have to drop the inner fender. I couldn't get the nut back on but there's a bolt right next to it that is assessable from the inside. Also I didn't remove the glove box door -- just the glovebox. . |

Re: Leaking heater core
Advanced, Napa, etc do not stock this item. Does anyone know if a heater core from a different year or model will work, maybe something that might be in stock?
