Recipe for 6 lug disc brake setup 69 Chevy 1/2 ton??

can't really afford the $700 power brake/lowered spindle 6 lug setup that CPP/LMC/Chevy Duty advertises, so.......

is there been a "recipe" on what parts to buy, from a salvage yard/parts store?? has anyone come up with p/n's for these parts?

second, do I have to go to power brakes right away? anyone running non-power discs? that would cut some of the cost out if I didn't have to buy a power brake booster.

so I would need spindles, ball joints, bearings, disc brake calipers, discs, brake pads, flexible brake lines. anything else.

thanks for the help.

All of the parts you can get off 71/72 or 73&up trucks with the exception of the rotors. I don't think anyone has come up with a salvage yard retrofit yet for 6-lug rotors. You'll also need tie rod ends. If you go the 73&up route make sure the donor truck has the 1 1/2'' thick rotors.
Go off spindle year for ball joints and tie rods.

I got the 6 lug kit from GMCPauls for $475. The only thing I had to buy was the disc brake style master cylinder which was $14.
