Ways To Drop Slightly
A WHILE BACK I MADE THE DECISION TO INSTALL ALL NEW SUSP. PARTS. I WENT ALL ORIG. STOCK SUSP. MOST FROM EARLY CLASSIC. MY ? IS HOW CAN I LOWER IT WITH OUT CHANGING THE FRONT SPINDLES. IM LOOKING TO MAYBE DROP 2 OR 3 INCHES IN THE REAR AND FRONT. IM WANTING THE LEVEL LOOK. IM WONDERING IF I CAN CALL EARLY CLASSIC AND GO WITH 2 OR 3 INCH LOWER REAR SPRINGS AND MAYBE SOME 2 OR 3 INCH LOWER SPRINGS IN THE FRONT ALSO. OR IS THERE A BETTER WAY W/O CHANGING THE SPINDLES. NOTE: IT IS A DISC. BRAKE CONVERSION FROM EARLY CLASSIC WITH 6 LUG BLAZER RALLYS.
ANY SUGGESTIONS ARE GREATLY APPRECIATED. THANKS, DAN

You could go with a 2" drop spring up front, but looking at your truck......I would say the back is approx 2 1/2 - 3" higher at the rear. if you want level, i would say you will need to go about 5" at the rear if you drop the front 2". I like em with a little rake, & would say a 2/4 would give better axle clearance at the rear, without notching the frame. You may be looking at an adjustable panhard bar & some shock relocators at the rear tho.....

Inexpensive lowering springs for the rear, if you don't care about load carrying capacity, are GM "A" body springs. Find them in a junk yard or a swap meet. I got mine for $10 at a swap meet. Those should lower about 2" in the rear. I haven't installed mine yet so don't know how much they will lower it.

If you don't want to swap spindles. Then the most you want to go in front is 2" or you will never be able to align it. The rear about 4" to level it.
