John, you've done some great work there, brought back bad memories! If my rockers had looked as good to start with as yours did I don't think I would have pulled them. Rust hides until it's so bad you finally see a bubble. I always laugh when someone says there's very little rust, JUST a few bubbles...

70 GMC, these trucks are rust magnets. If you buy a mig welder they aren't that hard to learn to weld with. It's the least you can get by with. There won't be any stick welding on body panels. Find a buddy with a mig welder, grab an old hood and practice for a while. You can do it if you don't get in a hurry.
