Re: whose got cherry bombs?

Currently, Im running Cherry Glass packs on 2.5" straight pipes off Long Hookers. All this bolted up to a mildly built 350 4-bolt and it is perfect, that's plenty to let her breath the way she needs to. It sounds vintage if that's what your shooting for, a nice loud chug. I wouldnt go any larger than 2.5" if you can help it.

Would I benefit by going 2.25" or 2.5"? You guys say 2.5" is good on a 350 I just don't want to lose any torque.

I want to go with some turbo mufflers but don't wanna irritate the neighbors every morning. What's a good deep toned muffler but not as noisy as Flowmaster 40s?

Thanks,
JD
I just put in a new exhaust system. 2 1/2" dual into Summit turbos. Sounds good, not too loud, nice idle and I picked up some torque compared to the glasspacks I had bolted straight to the headers. I almost wish I went with 2 1/4" though...

Also, if you're worried about getting too loud you may consider an H-Pipe. This will be great for your low end torque and drop your exhaust note down so your neighbors will still love you. Mine are nice about it, but I know it's a little loud, so it was all the more reason for me to pick one up.

Re: whose got cherry bombs?

My exhaust consists of dynomax full length headers, true dual 2 1/4" pipe, dual 14" magnaflows, and 3" stainless tips straight out the back. Sounds great, deep and throaty, not too loud and no resonance at any RPM.
