69 CST Bucket Seats...think they are worth it??
Hey guys! Got a line on a set of bucket seats out of a 1969 CST. They need recovering and possibly the lower foams replaced. I can get them shipped to me for about $200....think that is a decent price??? Ive seent them sell high on here and ebay... They look like these...tracks are included....they are pretty close to the same shape as the ones pictured...same scroll work also...think I should go for it or steer away? My truck has a bench but its broken down and needs recovering and foam. Ive been considering a late model bench like in my '98 Silverado but the buckets are period correct. I already have a console I bought a few yrs back...and a tilt column waiting to be put in...just wanting some input from you guys! Thanks!

I personally think the factory buckets are really cool and I'd drop two bills on those, especially with it including shipping.

Re: 69 CST Bucket Seats...think they are worth it??
One seat looks saveable. The other will need new foam..new foam and covers are expensive! Are they worth it? I think so if the tracks are in good shape and it has the correct stationary passenger side brackets for a truck, and not the flip up Blazer/Jimmy style ones.I bought 2 original consoles (Not the cupholder style),truck style '69-'70 bucket seats, and the correct truck style tracks for $125.I was there to get them so no shipping charges.I thought I did good, and others agree while atleast one other member passed them by and didn't buy them. One is saveable (passenger side) but the drivers side needs foam. Both need covers.Pretty much the same condition as the ones you posted. If you can get them for $200 to your door,I'd go for them.If not let me know where to find them Keep in mind the holes in the floors for the seats are different than on a bench seat, there is a extra crossember under the cab floor on 67-72s with bucket seats, and there is carpet over the gas tank.
Here is one of my $125 seats: Attachment 318566 Last edited by 1969k10stepside; 12-06-2007 at 10:24 PM. |

Re: 69 CST Bucket Seats...think they are worth it??
Thanks 69K10Stepside! I have looked around for a few yrs at local junk yards and found a couple of sets but nothing salvageable. These have the correct tracks etc theyhave been sitting for yrs so Im sure they'll need work. Im hoping I can put them back for a rainy day and if $ gets tight...sale them to get my $ back?? I hate spending money especially when its mine! lol

They look about like the set I have, and I've turned down $300 for mine if that means anything to you. I looked around quite a while before finding a rebuildable set, so no matter if they're actually worth $300 or not, they're worth more than that to me.
