WHEW! Glad I didn't see pics of my steering in there. Thanks for the post Randy, sure makes you appreciate the simply things after seeing some complex hack jobs like some of those!

What suprised me about those pictures is I remember going to truck shows in the early 90s and then the rules would not allow those types of modifications to the steering. There was a guy w/ a 302 powered samarai and he had to make the pitman arm to clear the lift, and he was disqualified because of that. I guess the rules have changed. Side bar: I won the ugliest truck competion that year w/ a 76 Scout II.

I kept the drivetrain. Body/bad and chassis are gone. 1981 K30, 350/465/205 dana 60 and dually 14 bolt. Has a G80, and a flat bed. Going to replace the flat bed. 1985 K20, 350/400/208 10 bolt and SF 14 bolt. I wonder where I can find some 1 tons. Hmmmmm ![]() |
