Grant Steering Wheel Install Help
For those who have installed a Grant wheel how do you get the horn part installed? Per the instructions it says to put a piece of tape on the edge of the plastic piece to hold it in piece while finishing the rest of the install. I have done this and it is not working. I know the horn works I put in my old setup and it worked fine.
Help is appreciated.

Re: Grant Steering Wheel Install Help
its been awhile but from the front it goes horn cap, spring, nut, 3 bolts, the ring the horn cap attatches to with the wire attatched, black cover piece, white piece like a straw, spring inside there, then plunger... i think that in which goes through the heavy silver splined piece

Re: Grant Steering Wheel Install Help
I re-installed mine a couple weeks ago. Did you buy the mounting kit also? In the kit there is a wire with a button type connector. My instruction said to take the button apart and remove the shaft. Once I did that the internal spring was a pain, so I used a jewelers screwdriver, put the screwdriver through the spring and then managed to get everything assembled.
Good Luck.. ..

I remember Longhorn man wrote a FAQ a few years ago. Check in there for it.

Re: Grant Steering Wheel Install Help
If you bought any other Grant GT than the Mahogany version the horn will probably not work regardless of how you install it. That particular horn setup is a very problematic one. I wound up wiring it to an underdash button after a couple of tries the way they suggest. I've had two of them and neither one worked.
