wheels/tires question

So I'm trying to buy wheels/tires as soon as I know for sure what I need. I'm wanting the Centerline Fuel 15"x12" 5-4.5" w/ a 5" backspacing & a 15"x7" 5-5.0" w/ a 3-3/8" back spacing. Would that put the front wheels where I need them? What size tires would I need for the front? What about the back if I wanted to run some M/T Sportsman drag radials? Not exactly sure how to read their dimensions on their site. I need about a 30"-31" tall tire in the back with about a 14.5" section width. What about the M/T Sportsman S/R Radial 30''x12''x15'' LT. Do these dimensions mean 30" tall tire for a 12" wide wheel and 15" diameter? If so I wonder what the section width is.

looks good to me. I went with a 15 x 7 with a 3"BS

I went with a 28 x 7.5 x 15 just personal preference. I didn't want the front to look like it had a low profile tire

30X12.00R15LT
Weight 36#
Approved Rim width 8.5-10.0
Sidewall Width 12.6 this is the overall width of the tire on a 10 wide rim
Tread Width 10.2
Overall Diameter 30.0

sorry I didn't see this post earlier, but i hope this clears things up a little ?

I ordered 15 x 7 with a 3 3/8" BS. So mine will be a tad more tucked in than yours? Do you have a pic of yours so I can get an idea?

I also want this. No low profile tire. I wanted a slightly tucked in more narrow wheel with a narrow taller tire. Do you have a pic of what yours looks like so I can get an idea of what it'll look like? I didn't order tires yet just wheels.

I ordered 15 x 12 with a 5" BS. So what would I be looking at getting if I wanted a 30" tall tire and about 14.5" section width in the M/T Sportsman Drag Radials? Or what about the Sportsman S/R Radials (with the flame tread design)?

Re: wheels/tires question

So, you decided on the 15" variety for the wheels.

Check Moosier's signature link for pics of his setup.

I'm not too familar with the different combinations of a Pro Street look, but I didn't see any M/T radials with a 14.5 section width. As I posted in your previous thread (http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=264917), the M/T site (http://www.mickeythompsontires.com) has tire specs for all their offerings. Although, I don't know how current it is. Since you're gonna run a 15x12 rear wheel, M/T offers a 29X15.00R15LT in a Sportman S/R. Although it is only 29" tall instead of the 30" you wanted, you would be able to squeeze it between the inner fender lip and the leaf spring. Given your measurements, I figure you need a 5.75" bs to get a inch clearance on each side.

For a matching front in the M/T Sportman S/R, you could consider a 26X8.00R15LT (for a narrow look) or 26X8.00R15LT (for a wider look) that would fit on a 15x7. (I'm guessing a 4" bs on the front would give you more of a tucked look.) It should look sometime like the 245/60 fronts on jokersbowtie truck.

When the time comes, I think the modern pro street version with 18s and 20s with the M/T Sportman S/Rs, especially with a 4 bar will be ...
