What did I do to my lights?

I was adjusting my brake light switch and blew one of my brake light bulbs. No big deal, replace the bulb and brake lights are working again but now my headlights are not!? All my parking lights, side lights and tailights are working, just not my headlights. I've checked the fuse block and can't see any fuses blown. What am I missing? Thanks.

Just a guess....

Maybe while you were under there adjusting the switch, you accidentally pulled on the harness...

Or, more likely, while you were down there, you pulled the connector loose from the dimmer switch. Done that my self a time or two. Definately check it. If it's plugged in, make sure that the contacts are clean.

Yeah! I messed with the wires around the dimmer switch and nothing.... then stepped on the dimmer switch and bam! on came the lights. Now the only problem is when I hit the dimmer switch again the headlights go off. So what have I got screwed up?

Did the brights come on, or just the regular headlights?

Replace the dimmer switch and clean the terminals.

May those who love us, love us, any of those who do not love us, may God turn their hearts.
And if God is unable to turn their hearts, may he turn their ankles so we may know them by their limping.
