4P13NB Huh?
Looking at fleabay and came upon this 1968 Chevrolet 50th Golden Anniversary Truck. When I pulled up the glove box sticker pic (left side) I was stumped.
What is a RPO 4P13NB SM WHEEL CARRIER anyway? Someday I'll have to send off for my secret decoder ring. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...176422215&rd=1 Last edited by Americanrider; 12-09-2007 at 10:56 PM. |

Side mount wheel carrier. Stands your spare up inside the box.

Re: 4P13NB Huh?
interesting. I thought sm wheel carrier was a P13 stepside option for "side mounted, fender cutout, wheel carrier". but in this case, I bet it was for the optional in-bed spare mounts instead of under the rear of the bed??

Re: 4P13NB Huh?
I was thinking SM was shorthand for "small"

Re: 4P13NB Huh?
Yeah, there was a time when we wanted the spares inside the bed, and if you were really flush, you'd have them on both sides with the tops of the tires standing above the bedsides. Then, there were folks who would have a tonneau cover made that would cover the bed AND had twin "bumps" for the twin spares you had.
Time change, huh?
