72 door question
I know that many on here know the answer, I believe that I know a part of it.
What is the difference betweeb 67-71 doors and the 72 door? I know that the 72 door was made to also fit the balzer. But not sure what make it that way. Are 67-71 doors all the same? Or is there defferences with them as well? Thanks.. |

Re: 72 door question
One of the differances, I think, is the window regulator mounting.

Re: 72 door question
72 doors had a longer shaft on the window regulator to clear the plastic door panel, they also had a indentation at the base of the vent window for a screw to keep the door from separating. Those are the only differences I know of.
I know all the doors from 67-72 are interchangeable on the cabs. the window regulators are interchangeable as well, but if you use the 72 regulators and the steel door panel the window crank sticks out 1/2" farther. If you use the 67-71 regulators with the plastic door panel you can't put the window crank on. Frank

Re: 72 door question
all doors are the same when it comes to truck verses blazer. The whole window chanel needs chopped off, then it's a blazer door.
Also, 72 doors have unique door panel mounting provisions as opposed to the other years. Last edited by Longhorn Man; 12-10-2007 at 04:29 PM. |
