Question Bucket Seats - Anyone have a favorite?

Just curious.. Im wanting to go with bucket seats in my 69, with a console in the center, and a fab'ed shifter (B&M Megashifter, or something to that effect) built into the console. Question is, does anyone have a favorite type of bucket seat that seems to fit good into these trucks? Something sporty lookin'...but yet something comfortable enough to take an extended cruise in..

you could try a seat out of a 99 Chevy. It is a three piece bench withbuilt in seat belts.

For buckets all you would have to do is delete the center jump seat.

I have the seatand it fits and looks great.

I have mine set up in bench format but since they are not bolted down right now because I am getting ready to paint cab I could get a pic without center console if you would like

I personally think the 89-90s Chevy truck seats in the trucks arent comfortable ive gone in a trip in a 90s Chevy truck, and ass was sore the whole time.Ive also made sam trip in factory buckets the 69-72 style no complaints and in my truck now the 67 buckets i find comfortable, best part is direct bolt in,except the 69-72s you have to drill a couple holes.

I agree that the 88-95 truck seats are not very comfortable.

However, the 1999 seats are alot bigger and offer a lot more support. This coming from a 6'3" 280 guy. Plus i got a great set, with no tears, leather for 100. If I could find a set of stock buckets for that I would definately give them a try.

I actually took the 88-95 seat out and chunked it. Of the seats I have tried it is the only buckets that seem to fit me heighth wise.

I think I'm gonna go with a burb tank or a fuel cell, so I will have plenty of room. $100 for a 99 seat?? that sounds like a pretty good deal you got there..

I'm using bucket seats from a 2000 Honda Civic. Someday I'll have pics.

Keith, I'd look at some of those ricer seats etc. Check some of the yards up your way. Myself I like the late burb seats. I check E- bay and look at seats you might find some there.

Yea, I love buckets too, But I have one complaint, it's a truck so 3 passengers max then take out another seat for a console. Plus the whole huggy factor. See, I'm just about driving age and I would like my girl to be able to sit next to me while I was driving, unlike her 99 Cavalier, which has a nice 8" console sticking up between us so it prevents even hugging. Anyone have any ideas about how to get around this? 2 buckets with a homemade middle seat? Ideas?

I robbed the seats out of a 91 Lumina APV minni van and I love 'em. My truck had a C-60 seat in it when I got it and it went from the most uncomfortable vehicle on the place to the most comfortable in a matter of about 30 minutes......I snagged a console out of a 74 Blazer which I still need to finish to complete my interior.
